Guided Walks – Algarve

We organise a programme of 2 – 3 hour guided walks which changes monthly, everyone is very welcome to come along and there is no need to book. There is a charge of 5 euro for each walk which includes a donation to charity (we are actively sponsoring 3 children in third world countries).

Tuesday December 26 – Let’s Walk from Poco Barreto

A fairly easy walk of about 2 hours through unspoilt countryside and orange groves with good views all round.
10.30am start – meet at the Cafe Sustelo, Poco Barreto, the village is on the main rod between Silves and Algoz, the cafe is on the left and parking by the train station to the right.

Friday December 29 – Let’s Walk around Cabeca Gorda, Loule

A nice gentle walk through a rich variety of scenery near Loule, about 2.5 hours with no real climbs so all can enjoy.
10.30am start –  meet at Café Tomilhos, N270 east of Loule. Go north from N125 & A22 on IC4 from Faro towards Loule for approx 6km & turn right to Sao Bras. 2nd roundabout (Road Roller Roundabout near Mat Diver) turn right towards Sao Bras. Cafe immediately on your right. Parking: Plenty of roadside parking, recommend to park as soon as possible after you leave the roundabout.

Tuesday January 2 – Let’s Walk The Two Rivers

One of our most popular walks that never disappoints. 2 hours of easy walking with one gentle climb, the walk takes you along the banks of the Arade and Odelouca rivers.
10.30am start – meet at the Mira Rio cafe on the road between Silves and Monchique. From the EN125 take the road to Silves, turn left to cross the bridge into Silves. Once across the bridge turn left at the lights and follow the road for 5km – the cafe in on the left on a bend.

Friday January 5 – Lets walk from Vale Judeu

A fairly easy walk of about 2.5 hours with the option of climbing up to the Pedra da Agua windmill with superb views over the countryside.
10.30am start – meet opposite the primary school. From the EN 125 going towards Faro turn left 500m after the Vilamoura lights towards Vale Judeu. After 1.5km turn right into the village and the school is on the left (cafe on right).

We can provide you with an exclusive walk guide with local extensive knowledge who can take you and your friends for a private walk (3 – 4 hours) in an area of your choice. They will be able to give you a direct insight into the lives and livelihoods of the local people (remember nearly 90% of the Algarve remains unspoilt and undeveloped).

Our charges for this are as follows:

1 – 4 people 80€

5 – 8 people 120€
