COME WALKING WITH US YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
Everyone is very welcome to come along with no need to book. There is a charge of 5 euro for each walk which includes a donation to charity. The walks are friendly and international; we have walkers from many different countries. Please remember the following:
- Wear shoes suitable for country walking
- Bring a sense of humour
- Although we respect people will walk at different paces, please remember these are group walks.
Friday, April 19 – Let’s Walk from near Querenca
A beautiful walk through totally unspoilt countryside and hamlets – just over 2.5 hours of fairly easy walking.
10.00 am start – meet outside the Sole e Serra restaurant/cafe on the N396 at Corte Garcia. Drive to Loule and take the Circular de Loule around the town. At the roundabout by the sports stadium, take the exit for Querenca, the N396. Stay on this road for 8km and the restaurant is on the left. Julie 965 753 033
Tuesday, April 23 – Let’s Walk around Funcho Lake
A walk of almost 3 hours through totally unspoilt countryside and along the sides of Funcho lake, moderate with two climbs and descents.
10.00 am start, meet at cafe/restaurant O Gralha in Vale Fuzeiros. From Silves take the road towards Messines and after 9km turn left to Amorosa. Drive through Amorosa on the main road and you will then see a left turn to Vale Fuzeiros. When you come into the village the cafe is on the right. Julie 965 753 033
Tuesday, April 30 – Let’s Walk from Santa Margarida, Alte
A beautiful walk through a mixture of scenery with some great views over the countryside.
10.00am start – meet at the cafe Belo Horizonte. Drive to Alte and at the roundabout turn into the village and take the first road to the left. Follow the road up passing the Alte Hotel and continue on until you arrive at the village, the cafe is on your right. Sean 926 558 751
Tuesday, May 7 – Let’s Walk from Monte da Charneca
A fairly easy walk with no real climbs in this little known area, just over 2 hours – fabulous!
at 09.30am start meet at the Taberna Monte da Charneca which is on the N124 between SB Messines and Alte. If coming from SB Messines the taberna is on your left. Sean and Diane 925 637 121
