The Douro Valley – A Heart of Gold

We meet in Porto and drive to Miranda do Douro right on the Spanish border. Our hotel is perched high above the river and we spend 2 nights here. Then we have a scenic drive along the river to our next accommodation where we spend 5 nights in a beautifully restored village house. Once we leave Porto this tour will keep you well away from the tourist spots and allow you the chance to discover the true Douro Valley and its heart of Gold!

Walking is along good tracks but the terrain is undulating! Suitable for all of reasonable fitness.
